Metapol continues forward year after yearThe beginning and its context
Mr. Emile Polak, with his positive leadership, sought to diversify the business of the nascent Polak Group. In 1973, the companies Dr. José Polak, Polaquimia and Polatecnia were already consolidated, while Polaquimia de Tlaxcala was growing. Taking advantage of this expansion, a joint venture was signed with a German group through Ohio Bronze Powder Company to manufacture metallic pigments. Polaquimia provided the land and resources, while Ohio Bronze provided machinery, establishing Metapol, S.A. de C.V. on February 16, 1974.
During that time, Ohio Bronze was modernizing its machinery and shipped obsolete equipment to Mexico to comply with the agreement. Thus began the manufacture of metallic pigments, specifically gold-colored flakes based on copper and zinc, for coatings and inks. Despite the adverse context in Mexico during the 1970s. Emile Polak maintained its focus on investing and growing in the country, earning the trust of its clients and passing on its social commitment to the next generation. His vision turned a dream into an important goal: to build a metallic pigments plant in Mexico.
